Cabrera avanza la nueva formación docente

Los futuros profesores de primaria y secundaria, al terminar la carrera, tendrán que saber utilizar las nuevas tecnologías pero, sobre todo, cómo aplicarlas para enseñar su materia en clase. Así se explicita en la propuesta que el Ministerio de Educación comenzará en breve a debatir, según avanzó ayer la ministra, Mercedes Cabrera, durante la inauguración de la XXII Semana Monográfica de la Educación, que hasta el viernes repasa en Madrid los retos y posibilidades de las nuevas tecnologías en la enseñanza. "La formación de los profesores es básica", dijo la ministra, para alcanzar la mejora de la escuela a través de estas nuevas herramientas.

Pero las tecnologías no pueden llegar a las clases sólo para que los alumnos aprendan a utilizarlas -algo, por otro lado, irrenunciable en la sociedad actual-, sino para convertirse en esa herramienta fundamental para mejorar la educación, que puede cambiar incluso la forma de enseñar, el papel del profesor y el de alumno.

Me parece fenomenal que se esté promoviendo el uso de las Nuevas Tecnologías en las escuelas de Magisterio como recurso didáctico, ya que nos ayudará a impartir las clases en un futuro ya muy próximo, pero yo ahora me pregunto ¿están los centros públicos de enseñanza preparados para que esta inversión de sus frutos?
